Commercial Square - Buckinghamshire’s largest single site of artist’s studios is to open its doors to the public on Saturday 18th June for 2011 Bucks Open Studios.
Art lovers (and those who are just a little curious) will be able to come and see a range of contemporary work from artists, with a variety of backgrounds, in their own studios – for FREE.
This vibrant community originally founded by 3 members of Commercial Square Studios, has now grown to include the recent opening of The Old factory Studios and Studio E174. There are now over thirty fine artists, glass, print, craft and designer/makers on the site and many of them will be open during Open Studios.
Commercial Square is an incredibly exciting workplace, set in partially disused old 1900 furniture-making factories, with fantastic urban edgy, light airy spaces. With a wealth of artistic talent to see and chat to, including; Isabel Fallow, Jackie Crabtree, Jenny Earnshaw, June Kingsbury, Liz Meier, Lynda Cornwell, Patricia Lynch, Sara Clark, Beverley Matchette-Downes, Caroline Page, Clariss Galliano, Helen Jenkins, Louise McKenzie and Meg McGregor; and a cafe with homemade cakes and refreshments, this is set to be THE one-stop venue, during Bucks Open Studios, that should not to be missed!
Commercial Square Studios will be open for preview on Saturday 18th June 2011 from 11am until 5pm and then every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (11am until 5pm) until the 3rd July 2011. Further information, latest artist’s news, maps etc can be found on the website: www.commercialsquarestudios.co.uk.
