Hope Foundation charity fine arts ’35 x 35’ touring exhibition launches at Commercial Square Studios

Friday 11th June 2010 - Contemporary works by some the region’s finest artists will share wall space and be available for auction at a unique ’35 x 35’ touring exhibition, launching at Commercial Square Studios in aid of the Hope Foundation charity.
High Wycombe’s artists’ co-operative, Commercial Square Studios, will open the exhibition at their preview night of Bucks Open Studios on Friday 11th June. Guests are being invited to view and place bids in a silent auction in order to buy original signed works.
“We want to connect the worlds of art and charity to help raise funds for the Hope Foundation whose work helps to protect the street children of Kolkata in India, as depicted in the recent film ‘Slum Dog Millionaire,’ says June Kingsbury, Artist at Commercial Square Studios. “The charity supports projects that provide access to an education, medical services and protection homes where necessary.”
“We have chosen a mixture of abstract and figurative works to engage our guests,” says June. “The 35 x 35 Exhibition will give people access to some fantastic examples of art whilst also benefitting a very worth cause.”
June Kingsbury hopes that visitors will show their support by bidding for a small piece of art for their own enjoyment.
If you would like to visit, Commercial Square Studios (featuring the 35 x 35 Exhibition) is open to the public for Bucks Open Studios. The preview evening is on Friday 11th June 2010 at 7pm. The Studios will then be open daily during the week 12th – 20th June and then the following weekend 26th & 27th June from 11 am until 5pm.
